Who are Warhounds 2 Warmasters?
What started as a space to collect, document, discuss and glory in all aspects of one nerd’s adventures within the Adeptus Titanicus game system has grown.
Now hosting regular competitive Events for Adeptus Titanicus under the W2W brand, establishing our own set of FAQs for the game, the launch of our own discord and becoming a team of contributors with a differing approaches and views, it’s safe to say Warhounds2Warmasters is no longer a One-Man Band.
My long-time sparring opponent Alex has always been a key part of the Adeptus Titanicus journey and seeing him lift trophies and add in articles has been hugely enjoyed and appreciated. It’s a source of perpetual amusement to us both how often I’ve taken the blame/credit for a particularly spicy list or tactic, when in fact it’s entirely unclear which one of us sourced the war-crime in question! Still, regardless of who sourced it, the other has usually had input in developing and refining it.
Around the same time as Alex and I decided to more formally open W2W up and establish a team, I realised that LSW had always been a part of the endeavour and she co-TO’d the Embers of War series with me, providing vital Cat-herding skills and a truly impressive voice-projection to ensure people got to where they needed to be. Whilst she typically adopts a much more casual approach to Titancus, it would be remiss to not have her noted here – she’s hugely responsible for so much of the social arrangements that are made around events and she is definitely much more likeable than the rest of the rogues gallery that is taking form!
Of more recent induction to the Adeptus Titanicus Hall of Fame was Ben aka Taff. Technically, Taff played Titanicus before either Alex or myself but then drifted away, as many did following that first year. Taff has now returned to the fold and began playing the event scene with some fantastic success; his Crusade Legio, Xestobiax, earning a respectable number of trophies in an impressively short time. When Taff isn’t working on something Titanicus related, he’s likely expanding his Legions Imperialis collection. I’m sure there will be something about that in the future.
Next to join the team was Princess aka Cristina. What started as her lending a hand in working on updating the website and providing some experienced takes on the social media side of things has developed into her becoming an integral member of the team. Princess attends almost every event in the calendar and is climbing into the mid-tables at events now, improving all the time and learning new skills in both painting and on the table – she picks up new projects with an enthusiasm that worrying echoes my own and works hard to improve the quality and range of content we provide.
At the epilogue of the Embers of War series, November 2025, the Embers of Warfare event saw two new inductees to the team, Hasan Mussa and Luc Turner. Both relatively new blood in the Titanicus sphere, each brings there own skills and strengths to the team. Hasan is widely regarded as the top Battlefleet Gothic player on these shores and he brings that same energy and hunger for silverware to Titanicus. Luc collects MVP nominations like it is a hobby in itself and runs his Astorum, litereally, forward to victory or defeat with equal enthusiasm.
For now, that’s us. W2W has had a glow-up on the branding and will be moving to a more regular release schedule with several ideas as to how we might continue to develop – there are also rumours that an invitation to join the team will be issued to someone we’ve had our eyes on for a while at an upcoming event *REDACTED*.
Ultimately, something we want to keep central to the articles is what is most important and what sets Adeptus Titanicus apart from other systems: the Community itself.
